David Arthur graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He received his law degree in 1992 from the University of Florida College of Law.
Dave was an Assistant State Attorney for more than a decade in the 18
th Judicial Circuit, where he started as an Assistant State Attorney and prosecuted all types of cases including Homicides, Armed Robberies, RICO cases, Kidnappings, and Vehicular Manslaughter cases. During most of his tenure with the State Attorney’s Office, Dave was a member of the Career Criminal Unit, a select group of prosecutors assigned to prosecute the most serious crimes and the most violent criminals. Before leaving the State Attorney’s Office to enter private practice, Dave received the prestigious Outstanding Trial Attorney of the Year award.
During his career as an attorney, Mr. Arthur has represented clients in both State and Federal Courts, and has been the lead or sole attorney on numerous jury trial cases. He is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts and in the U.S. Middle District of Florida Federal Court.
Since entering private practice, Dave has successfully represented clients in both civil and criminal matters. His criminal cases have included citizens charged with misdemeanors and those charged with serious felonies. In the civil arena, Dave has successfully litigated wrongful death cases, automobile and commercial vehicle negligence cases, nursing home/assisted living facility negligence cases, and many other types of civil cases. He has successfully litigated for his clients against large international corporations, Fortune 500 insurance companies, and municipal governments.
