Patrick Barbary, Esquire
Melbourne, Florida
Patrick Barbary is a long time Florida resident and has made Brevard County his home for over 25 years. Before becoming an attorney, Patrick was in the Air Force and ultimately became a licensed FAA commercial pilot. He went on to develop multiple successful businesses in Europe and in the United States before graduating
summa cum laude from Rollins College, and then going on to earn his Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1991, spending his last semester of law school working at the Brevard County State Attorney’s office, where he worked as an intern prosecuting misdemeanor cases while completing his law degree. Following his graduation Patrick became a member of the Florida Bar, and worked for three years as a State prosecutor for the State Attorney's office of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit. During this time, Patrick also taught business law, as an associate professor at Rollins College.
In 1995, Patrick opened his own law firm in Brevard County concentrating his practice in the area of criminal defense, family, and marital litigation. Patrick focused his efforts to provide comprehensive, affordable and dedicated legal service to his clients. Patrick has successfully defended countless clients who thought they could not afford legal representation and he takes pride in the fact that he will personally answer his phone and will take the time to listen to his clients’ fears and present them with the best and most affordable option to address their needs. Patrick’s goal is to listen to the facts of each case and provide his clients with all feasible options available to them to resolve their case with an honest estimate of cost as well as his legal opinions of the potential for success or failure in their favor — no dramatization, no scare tactics and no false promises, just an honest assessment of the applicable law, potential defenses, inner-workings of the justice system, litigation possibilities and their best legal options.
In 1999, Patrick and his long time friend
Clay Morgan formed the law firm Morgan and Barbary, P.A. with a goal of using their collected skills to provide comprehensive and affordable legal services to its clients in the areas of criminal defense, family law litigation and personal injury prosecution. The attorneys of Morgan and Barbary quickly established a reputation for providing quality, affordable, and ethical legal services to their clients and for using technology to provide the most efficient response time to their many clients.
